Day 1
May 18
Narita Nippori transfer: easiest option is the Keisei Skyliner to Nippori Station
Ride time is roughly 3540 minutes, and it's the cleanest choice after an early-morning arrival
Once at Nippori, use a short taxi ride only if your bags feel annoying; otherwise your hotel should be an easy local transfer
Keep this day light after the overnight flight and stay mostly on the Nippori/Ueno side
Start with old-Tokyo lanes around Yanaka Ginza, then slip over to Nezu Shrine for a quieter shrine stop
Finish around Ameyoko market, then continue into Okachimachi for a first pass at sneakers, cosmetics, and casual shopping before heading back to Nippori
Save the proper drugstore comparison shopping for 19 May so arrival day stays easy
Easy route: Skyliner to Nippori, hotel drop, then walk or short local train hop toward Yanaka/Nezu
For the evening stretch, Nezu → Ueno/Ameyoko/Okachimachi is easiest partly on foot; this whole area connects well without complicated transfers
Return to Nippori on the JR Yamanote Line from Okachimachi/Ueno if your legs are done
Day 2
May 19
Go early to Sensō-ji before the area gets busy
Duck into Asakusa Underground Street for a more retro, hidden-gem feel
Walk over to Kappabashi Kitchen Supply Town for kitchen tools, quirky souvenirs, and very Tokyo-only browsing
In the late afternoon, split in your beauty/pharmacy shopping with SUNDRUG Uenoameyokochuoten and OS Drug Ueno
That keeps 18 May lighter and makes 19 May your bigger practical shopping day
Easy route from Nippori: take JR Yamanote or Keihin-Tohoku to Ueno, then Ginza Line to Asakusa
After Asakusa, walk to Kappabashi Kitchen Supply Town
For the late shopping split, head back toward Ueno/Okachimachi by Ginza Line + JR or a simple taxi if you're carrying a lot

Day 3
May 20
Start in Harajuku and keep the browsing selective rather than trend-chasing
Grab lunch at Henry's Burger Harajuku
Continue into Shibuya for casual shopping rather than luxury browsing
Check GU Shibuya for cheap basics and ABC-MART Grand Stage Shibuya (Shibuya 109) for sneaker browsing
Keep this day flexible, shopping-heavy, and easy to cut short once you feel done
Easy route from Nippori: JR Yamanote Line direct to Harajuku
After lunch, just stay on foot from Harajuku into Shibuya; it's much easier than re-entering the train system for one stop
When you're done, take JR Yamanote Line back from Shibuya to Nippori
Day 4
May 21
Focus on Akihabara Electric Town for gadget browsing and smaller specialty shops
Compare pricing and product ranges between Yodobashi Akiba and BicCamera AKIBA Store
If you want used gear or oddball finds, look around the side streets after the big-box stores
Add a stop at Nissan Crossing for the EV/car-tech angle before finishing the day
Finish at Jimbocho Book Town if you still have energy for a more local, quietly nerdy Tokyo evening
Easy route from Nippori: JR Yamanote or Keihin-Tohoku direct to Akihabara
After Akihabara, go to Ginza for Nissan Crossing by Hibiya Line or Ginza Line depending on where you finish browsing
If you still go on to Jimbocho Book Town, use Tokyo Metro and then return to Nippori by JR from nearby Ochanomizu/Akihabara if that feels simplest

Day 5
May 22
This is your best quick getaway from Tokyo: easy train ride, a little greenery, and still lots to see
Start from Kita-Kamakura Station, then do the Daibutsu Hiking Course at an easy pace
Reward yourself with the Great Buddha at Kotoku-in
Before returning, browse snacks and souvenirs on KOMACHI STREET
Easy route from Nippori to Kamakura: take JR Yamanote to Tokyo or Ueno only if needed, but usually the simplest is JR via Shinagawa onto a Yokosuka Line train toward Kamakura/Kita-Kamakura
For the return, just take JR back the same way; no pass needed, normal IC card fare is fine
Leave a bit earlier than your Tokyo days so the train ride stays relaxed
Day 6
May 23
Use this as your slower Tokyo day with a bit of nature
Walk the trails at Institute for Nature Study, National Museum of Nature and Science for an easy, leafy contrast to the city
If you still want more greenery, continue to Ikedayama Park
For a very local shopping-street feel, finish at Togoshi Ginza Shopping Street for snacks, small bargains, and neighborhood energy
Easy route from Nippori: JR Yamanote to Meguro or Gotanda, then short taxi / bus / local train depending on exactly how you start the day
This is one of the few days where a short taxi can be worth it if you want to keep the nature stop fuss-free
After Togoshi Ginza Shopping Street, head back by Toei Asakusa Line or JR via Gotanda depending on where you finish
Day 7
May 24
Keep departure day flexible and close to Nippori
If you want one more unusual local errand, browse NIPPORI FABRIC TOWN
Otherwise use Ueno and the Okachimachi side for final cosmetics, snacks, or sneakers before heading to Narita
Aim to leave a generous buffer for the Narita transfer since your flight is in the afternoon/evening
Nippori Narita transfer: use the Keisei Skyliner back to Narita for the simplest departure-day move
From near Nippori, aim to be on a train that gets you to the airport around 2.53 hours before your flight if you have checked bags or want a stress-free buffer
If you're buying last-minute snacks, do it before heading into Nippori Station so the airport transfer stays simple
Easy departure route: Keisei Skyliner from Nippori straight to Narita
Keep the final shopping within Nippori/Ueno so you don't need luggage plus transfers
Try to be back at or near Nippori with bags sorted before heading to the station
