Day 1
May 18
Narita Nippori transfer: easiest option is the Keisei Skyliner to Nippori Station
Ride time is roughly 3540 minutes, and it's the cleanest choice after an early-morning arrival
Once at Nippori, use a short taxi ride only if your bags feel annoying; otherwise your hotel should be an easy local transfer
Keep this day light after the overnight flight and stay mostly on the Nippori/Ueno side
Start with old-Tokyo lanes around Yanaka Ginza, then slip over to Nezu Shrine for a quieter shrine stop
Finish around Ameyoko market, then continue into Okachimachi for a first pass at sneakers, cosmetics, and casual shopping
If you still feel good, make one focused evening stop at Herve Chapelier Matsuya Ginza rather than trying to do all of Ginza on arrival day
Save the fuller Ginza browsing for later in the trip so Day 1 stays realistic
Easy route: Skyliner to Nippori, hotel drop, then walk or short local train hop toward Yanaka/Nezu
For the evening stretch, Nezu → Ueno/Ameyoko/Okachimachi is easiest partly on foot; this whole area connects well without complicated transfers
If you add the Herve stop, go on to Herve Chapelier Matsuya Ginza as a single-purpose detour, then return to Nippori afterward
Return to Nippori on JR/Metro whenever you are done; skip Ginza entirely if arrival fatigue hits
Day 2
May 19
Start around Chōfu Station and keep the morning easy with nearby station-area browsing at Chofu PARCO and Tenjin-dо̄ri Shopping Street
Walk over to The University of Electro-Communications for the campus-side sightseeing part, then use the area for a relaxed lunch
In the afternoon, go out to Jindaiji Temple and Jindai Botanical Gardens for a greener break
If you want extra local food, keep Kitaro Chaya as the simple station-side snack stop and finish with an easy coffee stop before heading back
If you still have energy, use the return through Shinjuku City for a short evening price-check run at ABC-MART GRAND STAGE LUMINE EST Shop and Matsumoto Kiyoshi
This is a much better swap for a Tuesday than the Asakusa bakery day, since you avoid the Pain Maison closure and stay in one compact Chofu/Jindaiji area
Use the Keio Line from Shinjuku or your nearest convenient transfer point, then do most of the day on foot or with a short bus/taxi if you want to save energy
If you add the evening stop, just stay on the Keio Line return into Shinjuku City, do a compact browse, then take JR back to Nippori when you're done

Day 3
May 20
Start with shiopan at pain・maison Sumida Asakusa Dori Street before the best items start thinning out
Then go to Sensō-ji while the area is still relatively calm
Walk over to Kappabashi Kitchen Supply Town for kitchen tools, quirky souvenirs, and knife browsing
After Kappabashi, shift across town for a late-afternoon wander through Harajuku and Shibuya
Finish with an easy stroll through Daikanyamacho for a calmer neighborhood finish
When you're done, head straight back toward Nippori rather than trying to squeeze in another shopping zone
Easy route from Nippori: take JR or Metro toward Asakusa for pain・maison Sumida Asakusa Dori Street, then continue on foot into the wider Asakusa area
After Sensō-ji and Kappabashi Kitchen Supply Town, take the Ginza Line/JR combo or a taxi transfer toward Harajuku, continue on foot into Shibuya, then do a short final hop to Daikanyamacho
For the cleanest version of the day, finish from Daikanyama and head back directly to Nippori
Day 4
May 21
Thursday city plan: use this as the more weather-flexible Tokyo day instead of the waterfront
Focus on Akihabara Electric Town for gadget browsing and smaller specialty shops
Compare pricing and product ranges between Yodobashi Akiba and BicCamera AKIBA Store
In the Ginza side, add Ginza Sony Park, Uniqlo Tokyo, Marronnier Gate Ginza 1, and Ginza Itoya
For practical small-goods browsing, use 3 COINS and MARUZEN Marunouchi as a Standard Products-style alternative stop near Tokyo/Marunouchi
Add a stop at Nissan Crossing for the EV/car-tech angle before finishing the day
If you skip Daikanyama on 20 May, backup bag stop is Herve Chapelier Matsuya Ginza while you're already in Ginza
Finish at Jimbocho Book Town if you still have energy for a more local, quietly nerdy Tokyo evening
Easy route from Nippori: JR Yamanote or Keihin-Tohoku direct to Akihabara
After Akihabara, go to Ginza for Ginza Sony Park, Uniqlo Tokyo, Marronnier Gate Ginza 1, and Ginza Itoya
If you want the Marunouchi practical-goods detour, add 3 COINS and MARUZEN Marunouchi before heading back toward Tokyo Station
This is the easier rainy-day setup because most of the key browsing is indoors or easy to duck in and out of
If you still go on to Jimbocho Book Town, use Tokyo Metro and then return to Nippori by JR from nearby Ochanomizu/Akihabara if that feels simplest

Day 5
May 22
Main plan for Fri 22 May: Yokohama
Start with your rebooked 10:20 a.m. tour at Kirin Brewery Yokohama and keep that fixed even if skies stay mixed
Plan lunch right after the tour while you're still in the brewery/Namamugi side before heading deeper into the waterfront
Then head into the waterfront for Nissan Global Headquarters Gallery and Cup Noodles Museum
Continue through Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse and the flower displays around Yamashita Park
Finish with food in Yokohama Chinatown and sunset at Osanbashi Pier
Latest forecast makes Friday the better waterfront bet than Thursday, even if you still get some clouds
Easy route from Nippori: JR via Tokyo or Shinagawa to Yokohama, then local train/subway/taxi as needed for the brewery and waterfront stops
Aim to arrive on the brewery side with enough buffer for the 10:20 a.m. start so you are not rushing the transfer
Have lunch right after the tour nearby, then continue toward the main waterfront for the rest of the day
Friday should give you a better chance at a cleaner waterfront second half, but still bring a compact umbrella just in case
Roughly expect about 45-60 min each way to central Yokohama; normal IC fare is fine, no pass needed
Backup option instead of Yokohama: Kamakura if the Friday forecast turns worse again or you decide you want more greenery and walking
Start from Kita-Kamakura Station, then do the Daibutsu Hiking Course at an easy pace
Reward yourself with the Great Buddha at Kotoku-in
Before returning, browse snacks and souvenirs on KOMACHI STREET
Backup route for Kamakura: take JR via Shinagawa onto a Yokosuka Line train toward Kamakura/Kita-Kamakura
For the return, just take JR back the same way; no pass needed, normal IC card fare is fine
Use this only if you switch away from the main Friday Yokohama plan
Day 6
May 23
Start with everyday browsing and snack stops around Sugamo Jizodori Shopping Street while the area still feels relaxed
Then shift to Rikugien Gardens for the main sightseeing anchor and a calm garden walk
If you still want more, add Kyu-Furukawa Gardens for the spring rose-festival angle, or loop back toward NIPPORI FABRIC TOWN for practical shopping closer to base
Use Komagome as the easy finish for a café break or quiet neighborhood wandering before heading back to Nippori
Easy route from Nippori: JR Yamanote to Sugamo first, then continue toward Komagome and Rikugien Gardens
If you want the fuller version, continue to Kyu-Furukawa Gardens before looping back north to NIPPORI FABRIC TOWN
This keeps the whole day on the north side, stays easy from Nippori, and gives you a simple way to cut the extras if you want a quieter afternoon
Day 7
May 24
Keep departure day flexible and close to Nippori
If you want one more unusual local errand, browse NIPPORI FABRIC TOWN
Otherwise use Ueno and the Okachimachi side for final cosmetics, snacks, or sneakers before heading to Narita
Aim to leave a generous buffer for the Narita transfer since your flight is in the afternoon/evening
Nippori Narita transfer: use the Keisei Skyliner back to Narita for the simplest departure-day move
From near Nippori, aim to be on a train that gets you to the airport around 2.53 hours before your flight if you have checked bags or want a stress-free buffer
If you're buying last-minute snacks, do it before heading into Nippori Station so the airport transfer stays simple
Easy departure route: Keisei Skyliner from Nippori straight to Narita
Keep the final shopping within Nippori/Ueno so you don't need luggage plus transfers
Try to be back at or near Nippori with bags sorted before heading to the station
