Embark on an unforgettable 5-day combined Kenya and Tanzania safari exploring the best of Kenya and Tanzania's iconic wildlife and landscapes. From the towering Mount Kilimanjaro in Amboseli to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater and the endless plains of the Serengeti, this safari offers a thrilling adventure. Whether you're spotting elephants, lions, or the elusive cheetah, this trip provides the perfect blend of Kenya and Tanzania's natural beauty. As Daniel Taylor, I can assure you that this gives you the chance to experience the very best wildlife, landscapes, and culture that both countries have to offer.
I’ll arrive in Nairobi, where my adventure begins. After a quick introduction, I’ll be transferred to Amboseli National Park, a renowned park famous for its Mount Kilimanjaro views. In the afternoon, I’ll go on a game drive where I can spot elephants, zebras, giraffes, and lions roaming in the vast savannah. The day will end with a relaxing evening at the lodge, overlooking the park.
Today, I’ll wake up early for a morning game drive in Amboseli. It’s the best time to catch sight of elephants and other wildlife in the soft early light with Mount Kilimanjaro as the backdrop. After a hearty lunch at the lodge, I’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive, exploring other parts of the park. The diverse ecosystems of Amboseli offer excellent opportunities for wildlife photography, and I’ll be keeping my eyes out for cheetahs, lions, and various bird species. The day ends with a sundowner at the lodge.
After breakfast, I’ll depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania. The journey takes me across the border, and by the afternoon, I’ll be at the crater’s rim. Known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the crater is a natural wildlife haven. Once inside the crater, I’ll enjoy a thrilling game drive, spotting rhinos, lions, buffaloes, and flamingos that thrive in the lush grasslands and wetlands. After the day’s adventure, I’ll rest at a lodge perched above the crater, enjoying panoramic views of the area below.
Today, I’ll head to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves. The endless plains are home to the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the landscape. I’ll go on a full-day game drive in search of the Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo). The Serengeti is also home to cheetahs, giraffes, and various other wildlife. I’ll also visit some of the park’s unique features, like the Seronera River area, which is great for spotting big cats. I’ll stay overnight in the Serengeti, enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature.
On my last day, I’ll enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti to capture the last sights of Africa’s wildlife, before heading back to Arusha. After a memorable final game drive, I’ll be transferred to the airport for my return flight. I’ll leave with amazing memories and photographs, having experienced the best of East Africa’s wilderness.
