Day 1
Aug 9
Villa Insam
Booking status: No prebooking needed; just check bus times after arrival.
Leave-by target: no hard departure target unless you want the Lago di Carezza add-on; if so, aim to be moving by about 13:00.
Arrive into your base near Urtijëi, drop bags, and use local Val Gardena buses as your anchor for the first three nights.
If you arrive early enough, do the easy transit add-on in this order: bus toward Bolzano side, continue to Lago di Carezza, walk the lake, then bus back to Val Gardena before dinner.
Treat today as your setup day: buy snacks, confirm tomorrow's first lift, and keep dinner near the base so you can start early.
Use any guest pass for buses where accepted; assume cable cars still need separate tickets.
Day 2
Aug 10
Villa Insam
Booking status: Recommended to prebook or at least buy/check lift access in advance for Seceda in peak August.
Leave-by target: aim to leave your base by 07:45 so you are in Urtijëi before the first big lift queue.
Walk or bus into Urtijëi early, then take the Seceda lift sequence up to Seceda on first departures.
Keep the transport order simple today: one morning ascent, hike the ridgeline, long hut lunch, then descend the same way rather than trying to stitch together extra bus transfers.
Once back in town, use the late afternoon for bakery, groceries, or recovery time instead of adding another lift.
This is your cleanest cable-car day of the trip, so use it to save energy for the more transfer-heavy days ahead.

Day 3
Aug 11
Villa Insam
Booking status: Timetable-check day only; no major prebooking expected.
Leave-by target: aim to leave by 07:15 to protect both the morning ropeway and the later bus toward Passo Sella.
Start with the morning ropeway up to Alpe di Siusi for the Seiser Alm half of the day.
After lunch, descend back to the valley, transfer by bus toward Passo Sella, and then walk the shorter scenic section of Sentiero Friedrich August.
Keep the order exactly this way around: lift first, bus transfer second. It avoids chasing a late-afternoon last lift back from Seiser Alm.
Finish by bussing back to your Val Gardena base rather than stretching the hike deeper into the pass.
Day 4
Aug 12
Villa Insam
Booking status: Timetable-check day only; no special prebooking unless you decide to add extra lifts.
Leave-by target: aim to leave by 06:45 so you can finish Geisleralm without rushing the afternoon transfer to Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Leave the Val Gardena base early and make Geisleralm the first and only real hike before moving east.
After the hike, return to the transport hub, collect luggage if needed, and continue onward to Cortina d'Ampezzo with the transfer as the main job of the afternoon.
Do not add extra lifts today unless everything has gone unusually smoothly; the point of the three-base version is to protect this transfer day.
Once in Cortina, keep the evening close to the bus station area so tomorrow's early departure is easy.
Day 5
Aug 13
Ciasa Nonna Bon Bon
Booking status: Highest-priority prebook day — reserve/check the earliest practical bus or shuttle for Tre Cime di Lavaredo well ahead.
Leave-by target: aim to leave Cortina by about 06:30 to stay on the earliest workable access toward the Tre Cime trailhead.
Start from Cortina d'Ampezzo on the earliest practical bus or shuttle toward the Tre Cime trailhead.
Do the day in this order: main loop at Tre Cime di Lavaredo, then add Cadini di Misurina only if weather and legs still look good.
On the return journey, make Lago di Landro a quick scenic stop rather than building a separate outing around it.
Get all the way back to Cortina before dinner and avoid stacking another pass or lift onto this day.

Day 6
Aug 14
Ciasa Nonna Bon Bon
Booking status: Check ahead carefully for Lago di Braies access rules and summer bus controls; Sorapis itself is more of a timetable day.
Leave-by target: aim to leave Cortina by 05:30 for the sunrise-style Braies stop and to keep enough margin for Lake Sorapis afterward.
Leave Cortina very early and front-load the transit to Lago di Braies for a short sunrise-style stop.
After Braies, continue straight to the Sorapis trailhead and make Lake Sorapis the one major hike of the day.
Keep the order as Braies first, Sorapis second, because the lake stop is flexible while Sorapis is the real time-and-energy commitment.
Return directly to Cortina after the hike and keep the evening easy since tomorrow is your base-change day.
Day 7
Aug 15
Ciasa Nonna Bon Bon
Booking status: No prebooking needed; just keep an eye on transfer times into San Candido.
Leave-by target: aim to leave Cortina by about 09:00 so the transfer stays easy and you still get a useful afternoon in San Candido.
Treat this as a transfer-first day: leave Cortina d'Ampezzo in the morning and move to San Candido without trying to force a full hike en route.
Once checked in, use the afternoon for a short town walk, café stop, and any shopping or supplies for tomorrow.
If everything runs early, keep any extra movement local and low-commitment rather than adding another long bus chain.
The whole point of today is to make the final Monte Baranci day simple and low stress.
Day 8
Aug 16
Agriturismo Stauderhof
Booking status: Usually no prebooking needed; just confirm the first workable lift for Haunold Monte Baranci.
Leave-by target: aim to be moving by 07:45 so you can catch an early lift window and still keep margin for onward travel later.
Start from San Candido and make Haunold Monte Baranci your dedicated cable-car day.
Keep the order simple: local access into the lift, ride up, do the main scenic walking up high, then descend without trying to chain on another remote valley.
Use the afternoon as weather buffer or extra time in town rather than forcing one more transport-heavy excursion.
If conditions are poor, this is your best swap or recovery day because the logistics are the easiest of the whole trip.
